The only divinely-inspired account of Jesus’ childhood takes place here in verses 41-52. Jesus was twelve years old when He remained behind at the Feast of the Passover. This passage, which unfolds for us in four stages, continues to validate the truth that Jesus is the Son of God, who was sent to be God’s promised Savior for the world.

2. The Discovery of Jesus (vv. 46-47)
